# Getting Started

**evently** is the prediction market native to MegaETH — the fastest real-time L2 on Ethereum. You trade your conviction on any outcome, create your own markets, and earn fees.

Getting started takes less than 2 minutes.

## Requirements

* A Web3 wallet (MetaMask, Rainbow, Rabby, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet)
* MegaETH mainnet added to your wallet
* A small amount of ETH on MegaETH for gas (near-zero cost thanks to \~1ms blocks)
* USDm to trade on prediction markets

## Step 1 — Add MegaETH to your wallet

## Step 2 — Bridge to MegaETH

Use the built-in [Bridge](https://evently.market/bridge) page (powered by LiFi) to move ETH or any other asset from Ethereum or other chains to MegaETH.

## Step 3 — Get USDm

USDm is the base trading token on evently. Use the [Swap](https://evently.market/swap) page to convert any MegaETH asset to USDm instantly.

## Step 4 — Trade a prediction market

1. Go to [evently.market/markets](https://evently.market/markets)
2. Browse open markets across Crypto, Politics, World, Business, Culture, and more
3. Select a market and choose an outcome — **YES** or **NO**
4. Enter your USDm amount and click **Trade**
5. Your position is minted as an ERC-1155 token — settled on-chain in \~1ms

## Step 5 — Create your own market

Anyone can create a market on evently:

1. Go to [evently.market/markets/create](https://evently.market/markets/create)
2. Write your question and define 2–4 outcome options
3. Set a resolution deadline and clear resolution criteria
4. Lock **50 USDm collateral** (returned after honest resolution) + LMSR subsidy (`b × ln(n)` USDm)
5. You earn **1% of all trading fees** generated by your market — claimable after resolution

## Step 6 — Create your onchain profile *(optional)*

An evently profile gives you a username, referral link, and onchain leaderboard presence. Profile creation is **free**.
